Includes a pleasant one hour drive (total time roundtrip) through the Samaipata River Valley and 2½ hours of intermediate walking and occasional wading (up to your knees) in the River Lajas where we will wander amidst surprising rock formations in close contact with the ecology of the canyon, whose lithophytes plants and birds such as the Cliff Flycatcher, as well as swifts and thrushes, are especially intriguing. Those that want can venture to swim across the Gran Poza Negra ¨Great Black Pool¨ accompanied by a guide. Or, shorten the river adventure by ½ hour in order to visit the Cuevas waterfalls.
